jim and pam are both sweaterboys and angela and dwight are both absolute nightmares which means that theoretically jim and dwight would be the dynamic and if the office were a different show I could fully see that happening but one of the theses of the office is that the strongest relationships are between similar people, not opposites: jim and pam, dwight and angela, holly and michael, andy and erin, even ryan and kelly are drawn inexorably to each other bc of something they have in common as people
