2010 dnp is just my favorite. i feel like 2010 was the time when they were transitioning from the shy, quiet, where-are-we-going-with-this feeling to the loud, passionate, this-is-my-forever kind of love. in 2009 they seemed to be a bit unsure of everything that was going on in their relationship (at least for the majority of it) and seemed a bit timider in the way they interacted with the other. in 2010, they had already met in person many times and were probably much more certain of each other.
something about knowing they had already met makes some of their tweets from this time even cuter.
things like this tweet are what really get me. dan was clearly missing phil when he tweeted this. to me, it seems like the more they saw each other the worse it hurt to be away, as if everytime they saw each other they fell a little deeper and the need to be with the other got stronger. i feel like i’m not making any sense at this point but give me some slack it’s nearly 2am.
2010 brought us things such as a certain video, the portugal trip (unfortunately we don’t have much information on this but it’s clear they wanted the trip to be just for their own memory which makes it even better imo), and, of course, the jamaica trip. dan also started school in manchester, meaning he and phil could see each other much more often.
in general 2010 was just a great time for them and obviously the years just keep getting better and better but 2010 will always have a soft spot in my heart (pinof 2 is also one of my faves besides the newest ones).
i could go on but it’s past 2am at this point and i think that the best way to wrap this up is with some of my favorite tweets from 2010 (i would have a lot more but the phan timeline only goes up to the end of february).
i’ve never really seen anybody talk about this one (and i didn’t even know it existed until today tbh) but i love it so much.
