This squishy is by far my best purchase of 2018. It’s the little things in life.

Figuring out that balance of

  1. Learning not spend most of your earnings on stupid crap that will cost way more than you can actually afford and
  2. Making small purchases like this for $8 that SEEM dumb but will get you WAY more than $8 worth of happiness

Is one of the biggest keys to balancing financial stability and happiness. This person is nailing it.

People are protesting that we must boycott the film Bohemian Rhapsody because, and I quote, “the trailer erases Mercury’s homosexuality by having him flirt with a woman and whitewashes him!” Which is funny, because these people are basically erasing Freddie Mercury’s bisexuality and his relationship with Mary Austin and whitewashing Rami Malek at the same time in order to back their shitty excuse of an argument.

Now, repeat with me:

Freddie Mercury wasn’t gay, he was bisexual. Rami Malek is Egyptian.

Freddie Mercury wasn’t gay, he was

bisexual. Rami Malek is Egyptian.

Freddie Mercury wasn’t gay, he was

bisexual. Rami Malek is Egyptian.

Freddie Mercury wasn’t gay, he was

bisexual. Rami Malek is Egyptian.

This has been a PSA.

When the first snippet trailer was released there were rumors that they were making Freddie straight and ending the movie before the AIDS crisis.

These rumors turned out to only be based on the fact that neither of those themes were in the 30 second clip.

Since then the trailers clearly show him flirting with men and women and the writers have spoken out to say that part of Freddie’s motivation in the movie is he was recently diagnosed with AIDS. So yeah it’s brought up JUST A LITTLE

But biphobes will hate no matter how much googling you do for them so I guess I’ll just have to HAPPILY go watch this movie 70 consecutive times.

do men have resting bitch faces as well or do they not have negative characteristics ascribed to them for putting on a neutral rather than a deliriously happy facial expression

Yes, Black men in majority white spaces do. If I don’t smile every single second of the day my coworkers become in intimidated and start asking me what’s wrong, telling me to smile, make jokes about how I’m trying to be a thug/act hard, why am I angry, etc. And it’s not just white men at my job God FORBID I my large Black ass makes a white girl feel threaten because I’m sitting down with a neutral expression.

I’m not trying to take this post away from women and make it about Black men but I want to point out that wether it’s patriarchy or white supremacy; those who feel as if they have power over you HATE to see you not smile. They are so used to people like you smiling to gain their approval that when you don’t there’s a cognitive dissonance that makes them extremely uncomfortable.

That’s why “angry Black women” is a thing. They have to put on a smile for everyone (yes even feminist white women) or we all get uncomfortable.

This is such an amazing response.
