watchin college edcuated democrats go on about how “dumb and uneducated” people from the south/rural areas are is just so..it’s really something. Idk how many times it has to be said that alienating voting bases isn’t a good thing but…here they are…every election….doing the same dance 

like instead of focusing their attention on securing that (large) portion of voters by empathizing with them and attempting to show them how their party can improve their lives (LOL)  they just go “you all are dumb hicks anyways so we aren’t even going to dirty our hands with you” regardless of whether or not the people are actually voting red. It’s really something. 

It’s an attack on the poor class and has been an escape goat for the rich (mostly red) to pit the poor against the poor.

Country hicks can say some stupid shit (not even aware what they’re saying is wrong) . But their living conditions are really horrible. (Depending on location) My life currently has been side by side with many homeless people, people without power, people completely unable to escape the situations they are in, and completely unable to receive an education. (I was once stuck in a bad place that wasn’t even finished built and filled with bugs, it was horrible)

I’m not saying throw your nose up to racism, but I’m saying look at the wealthy and see how they’re manipulating the poor with obviously hateful bigotted tactics.

the moral of hamlet is don’t ever try to go home and resolve conflicts with yr family just stay at college and do gay shit w ur friends

it’s weird how this post I wrote at the absolute low point of my mental health crisis in college now has hundreds of thousands of notes. anyway I now feel that the moral of hamlet is that dealing with family conflict sucks but if you don’t at least make an effort to understand why your mom feels the way she does then you will end up killing six people

for a quick change of pace–i know we’ve all seen a thousand posts about voting, but what i haven’t seen (not yet) is one saying thank you. 

thank you for those who made it out in the rain and the cold, who organized and canvassed and took on the onerous task of working with non-voting & conservative friends/family to change their stance if at least just this once. thank you for those who stood in line for hours, who had to travel because your voting place was moved, who had to jump through ridiculous fucking hoops to register, who weren’t inspired but showed up anyway for the disenfranchised and the greater good. thank you as well to everyone who voted early, absentee, and provisional. 

it mattered.
