like, alright, i consider myself a liberal socialist, and there are honestly not many democratic candidates who truly encompass the ideal of what i want to vote for, who are still controlled by donations and pacs and corporations and what have you, but they are hell of a lot closer to what i believe in than any republican running for office rn. vote democrat.
partisan politics are bad. the whole system needs to be abolished. yes. but on what fucking planet do you have to be on to think that’s going to be even remotely close to happening in the hands of republicans? so…. vote democrat lol
There is a time and place to cast a symbolic vote, or to vote as a statement of your own views. The presidential and midterm elections are not the time or place. The third party candidates you really want? They’re not going to win. Don’t cast a vote just to “show your support” or “express your views”, because performative politics like that do absolutely nothing to actually make real change. Vote democrat because we need to clear out all the trash first before we can start making repairs.

Think about this in the context of performing feminity. So many women deny that they have been influenced to shave, wear makeup, wear heels, etc and claim they do it for themselves. But when you are receiving compliments and are getting treated better when you do those things, you are definitely being influenced.

I had a good good day! I did good art last night, I slept in today, got another ear piercing (a lil bat in my tragus) to match with kelly, scheduled a tattoo on the 6th for my birthday and as reward and distraction from however the election shakes out, had some good fuckin chinese food and closed it out with the best time ive ever had at a haunted house! Sometimes the world is shit and your day is good and im so glad for this good day, I love my friends, im sappy and gay 😭😍
