The best fictional relationships are two dudes on a long running TV show who are so repressed and so awful and irredeemable that the only people they can be with is each other but they can’t realize that. Bob and Pete from mad men. Mac and Dennis from always sunny. Tom and Tom from vanderpump rules.

for hot or not… Danny Devito

skeletorific:

Danny Devito is the Bacchus of our era. Though there is nothing in him that would appear to be pleasing to the eye, all our hedonistic pleasures spawn from him, until he inevitably becomes pleasure itself

The BEZOS Act is bad policy, as tying tax rates to the level of public benefits recieved by employees would lead to structural labor market discrimination against poor people, but the point of the bill isn’t to pass, it’s to start a public conversation about Amazon’s labor practices. That’s a good thing, though another problem is that the “welfare subsidizes employers, who should be the ones providing all benefits” narrative which the Act itself is based on is flawed. Focus on both policies to raise wages and policies to strengthen redistributive welfare policies, don’t try to justify raising wages through declining welfare costs just because it’s politically expedient.
